Excellent cow and
milkmaid creamer. It is an unusual one, the milk goes in the
girl's hat and out the cow's mouth. No damage or
restoration. The girls black hair has wear, but could be
easily touched up if need be. Small glaze flake to bottom
edge, visible at lower right on first photo, probably a
firing flaw. 6 1/4" tall. c1850 $165.00 |

This is really a pretty one, excellent
colors and details. This one is in great condition as far
as the hens go. There is a chip to the inner rim of the
nest, it does not show when the hen is in place. There are a
few tiny glaze flakes, less than usual and not chipped, just
glaze loss. There are no restorations. Some of the white
spots are worn. It is the original hen to nest, same
markings inside hen and on bottom of base. 8" long, 7 1/2"
to top of tail. c1860 $365.00 |

This is really a pretty one, excellent
colors and details. I think the beak tip has a restoration
and there is some type of restoration at the base of the
tail, where it attached to the body. I purchased it as such.
Looking inside the body it does not appear to have any
breaks - I honestly cannot tell what has been done to it, as
it looks perfect, the glaze just feels a bit different.
There is a little bit of spotting inside the next and some
wear to the orange on the high points on the next. It has a
very good "ring" when tapped, both the hen and the nest. It
is a large one, 9" long, 8" to top of tail. c1860

Excellent large Jackfield hen on orange
nest. Original hen to nest. Overall condition is good and
it displays perfectly! Please note that the hen only fits on
the nest in one direction, but I am sure it is the original
nest. Professional and very good restoration to a chip on
the nest. Tiny glaze flake where the tail meets the body,
can be seen in first photo. Gold and white dots remain very
good. 7 1/4" to top of tail, 8" long. c1860 $325.00 |

Very pretty antique Staffordshire Hen
dish with baby chicks. Overall is good. The beak and some
of the scallops on the dish have been professionally touched
up, it shows perfectly and there was no major damage. It has
a bit of staining to the dish, it smells like old butter. I
suspect it has been used to store butter. I have not tried
to clean it up, because of the repairs. The repairs are very
minor, there are and were no cracks. It is a good solid
piece. 7" to top of tail, 8" long. Good early piece, c
